How to sign in Yahoo on ipad

Open the Mail App:

  • Find and tap the Mail app on your iPad’s home screen. The icon looks like an envelope.

Access Account Settings:

  • If you’re opening the Mail app for the first time or don’t have any email accounts set up yet, you’ll be prompted to add an account.
  • If the Mail app is already open and you have other accounts set up, go to Mailboxes in the upper-left corner.
  • Tap Accounts. In older versions of iOS, this may be listed as Accounts & Passwords.
  • Tap Add Account.

Choose Yahoo:

  • You will see a list of email providers. Tap Yahoo.

Enter Yahoo Credentials:

  • You’ll be directed to a Yahoo sign-in page.
  • Enter your Yahoo email address in the email field and tap Next.
  • Enter your Yahoo password and tap Next again.

Complete Verification:

  • If prompted, complete any additional verification steps. This may involve entering a verification code sent to your recovery email or phone number, or allowing permissions.

Grant Permissions:

  • You may need to grant permissions for the Mail app to access your Yahoo account. Follow the on-screen instructions and tap Allow or Grant.

Choose Sync Options:

  • After successful sign-in, you may be given options to choose what you want to sync with your Yahoo account, such as Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Notes.
  • Toggle the switches according to your preferences.

Save and Finish Setup:

  • Once you’ve configured your settings, tap Save or Done in the upper-right corner to complete the setup.

Check Your Mail:

  • Return to the Mailboxes view or tap Inbox to ensure that your Yahoo emails are appearing and syncing correctly.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Check Internet Connection: Ensure your iPad is connected to the internet.
  • Update iOS: Make sure your iPad is running the latest version of iOS. Go to Settings > General > Software Update to check for updates.
  • Verify Security Settings: If you encounter issues, check Yahoo’s security settings. Yahoo may block sign-in attempts from new devices for security reasons.
